A two-seater lounge at 1000ml deep x 2400ml wide.
The design for our LOUNGE MODEL N01 is simple. I wanted the joinery and timber to be at the forefront, highlighting the grain of my favourite timber, American Oak.
The inspiration for our LOUNGE MODEL N01 came from Traditional Japanese houses, where furniture is low to the ground — it feels grounding, light and inviting. Although the lounge is big, plush and comfortable, visually it seems lighter due to the low height. I see this piece as being part of a room, rather than taking over it as seen in many modern designs.
Weaved webbing under the upholstery to enhance comfort.
