I wanted to create a chair with motion – it looks like it’s on the go or moving forward. I try to create furniture with personality, I like it to evoke emotion.

BEDSIDE MODEL 002 – American Oak

Mid-century inspired aesthetic with the functionality of modern design.

All the same design features as BEDSIDE MODEL 001 with a few new tweaks – width of legs has been brought in tighter for functionality. Use of through tenon joinery with contrasting timber.

SIDEBOARD MODEL 001 – American Oak

Mid-century inspired aesthetic with the functionality of modern design.

This Sideboard is completely handmade by DARCY D and will be the centrepiece for your living and/ or lounge room. Made to store your books, films and entertainment systems, the shelves are simple and basic to maximise storage needs and are entirely adjustable. The back is designed with panelling to allow easy plugins to electricity sockets for technology.

Made low to the floor to accentuate a modern and sleek look. The doors slide along thin ‘pyramid runners’, this is a unique element designed by DARCY D. We believe the small functional things are often overlooked in furniture construction but should always be both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

BEDSIDE MODEL 001 – Teak

Mid-century inspired aesthetic with the functionality of modern design.

The bedside was the first piece of furniture DARCY D designed and handmade, it featured as part of the 2018 ‘Makers Take’, a Queensland exhibition platform showcasing local furniture and objects. The bedside gives a delicate, floating appearance with its thin legs. Inside the drawer is a removable jewellery box that slides along tracks and a small hole at the back of the bedside to allow for cords.
